Either way, Invisalign® can provide you simple way to get straighter, more symmetrical teeth without having to put your life on hold.
Frequently Asked Questions:
I don’t want metal braces at my age, are there any other options for me?
Yes! With Invisalign®, you don’t wear metal braces. Instead, your teeth are straightened by wearing a series of virtually invisible plastic aligners. Almost no one can tell you’ve got the aligners on (unless you tell them). They can also be removed if you have an important event or evening planned.
Can I remove my Invisalign® Clear Braces?
Yes, you wear them all the time, except when you’re eating, drinking anything but water, brushing, and flossing.
It seems like too much trouble and will take too long, should I just leave my teeth the way they are?
Treatment with Invisalign® is easy! You’ll receive a series of clear aligners, which allow you to start a fresh set every two weeks. You wear them all the time, except when you’re eating, drinking anything but water, brushing, and flossing. After your consultation we can determine an approximate treatment time for you. On average, most Invisalign® takes about 3-12 months depending on each individual.
Can I still have braces even though I am an adult?
Yes, getting your teeth straightened isn’t just for teenagers anymore. Like many adults, you have probably wanted to straighten your teeth. Our teeth tend to get slightly crooked over time, especially if we wore braces as kids but stopped wearing your retainer at some point.
I had braces as a kid but never wore my retainer, why are my teeth moving back to their old crooked position?
After wearing braces you should always wear your retainer at night. The reason for this is that your teeth will want to move back to their original position. By wearing your retainer once a day this will help “remind” your teeth where their new home is and will stay straight for life.
Is Invisalign® more expensive than traditional braces?
Invisalign® treatment is often similar in cost to traditional braces. In addition, if you have orthodontic insurance coverage, Invisalign® is often covered to the same extent as traditional braces. At ARTIS Dental Centre, we offer a variety of affordable payment plans. Our office will be happy to work with you on all of the insurance and financial details.
If you have always wanted straighter teeth but cringe at the idea of getting braces, Invisalign® could be the perfect treatment for you. Invisalign® is a modern teeth-straightening solution that uses clear trays specifically molded to improve your unique smile. \ With Invisalign®, you can achieve a perfectly straight, attractive smile without the unsightly appearance and discomfort of metal braces.
Are You Ready To Try Invisalign for a beautiful smile?
Why should I consider Invisalign®?
Braces are known for their unappealing appearance. Most patients are only willing to tolerate braces because they want the attractive smile that braces can help them achieve. Invisalign®, on the other hand, is almost undetectable. Invisalign® patients can enjoy virtually invisible teeth straightening so that the smile will look increasingly more inviting throughout the course of treatment.
MAINTAIN ORAL HEALTH
Braces make oral hygiene habits more difficult to maintain. Even with vigilant effort, flossing and brushing are much more challenging and can fail to adequately remove food particles from between the teeth and wires. Invisalign® allows you to brush and floss normally so that you can maintain the best oral health throughout your treatment.
Braces consist of sharp metal pieces that can irritate your cheeks and gums, causing discomfort and pain. Invisalign® is made of a smooth, comfortable plastic that greatly improves patient comfort while realigning and repositioning the teeth.
NO DIETARY RESTRICTIONS
With braces, foods such as nuts, popcorn, and sticky or hard candy must be avoided. Other foods such as lettuce or seeds can easily get stuck in the braces. The Invisalign® trays are removed when eating, which means that you can eat whatever foods you desire.
MORE FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE
While most patients with braces typically need to visit their orthodontist once per month, patients with Invisalign® only need to make office visits every four to six weeks. This makes Invisalign® a more flexible treatment so that you can continue to manage your many appointments.
